I would like to note that:

a) Forensic Medicine is an independent medical specialty.

b) A forensic medical expert opinion is – by definition – more complete than an expert opinion offered by a doctor who does not posses the specialized knowledge required for this particular task.

We all have the right to attain a high level of scientific competence and professional integrity, each one in its own field.  

Last but not least , I would like to point out the important role of forensic surgeons in the administration of justice and in society in general.
